1995 Hakeem Olajuwon FMVP Breakdown（二）

The 1993-94 season, Hakeem Olajuwon completed a rare individual grand slam: regular-season MVP, Defensive Player of the Year and Finals MVP. Few players have won MVP and DPOY the same season; he is one.

On offense his Dream Shake was unguardable; on defense he was Houston’s rim wall and help anchor, leading the league in blocks and swinging games with late closouts. That two-end presence was the root of the Finals run.

Rarely noted: it was his 10th season before the breakout. After years of playoff heartbreaks he kept refining skill and discipline. The 1994 honors repaid a decade of patience.

Some shine young; some forge a sword over ten years. Olajuwon proved persistence with an MVP + DPOY.
