Game 6 Tie: Ray Allen’s Three Legend

The 2013 Finals Game 6 was among the most thrilling nights in NBA history. With under 20 seconds left and Miami down three, they were nearly dead.

Then Ray Allen, receiving Chris Bosh’s pass in the corner, stepped back over the line and buried the three to tie and force overtime. That shot saved Miami—and James’ repeat bid—because without it, San Antonio would have won then.

Miami rode the momentum to win G6 in OT and closed the series in Game 7. Allen’s three is widely called one of the greatest shots in NBA history.
