2015 Iggy’s Crown: The Upset FMVP

In 2015, the NBA Finals MVP was a shock. The Warriors dominated 2014-15 and beat Cleveland 4-2 for their first title since 1975.

The real surprise was Andre Iguodala. Coach Steve Kerr started him late in the series to shadow LeBron James. Iguodala limited James’ efficiency with great defense and added steady outside scoring.

Ultimately, a player averaging only 7 points and coming off the bench most games beat Curry for FMVP—the only non-starter (in the regular season) FMVP in NBA history.

When Iguodala lifted the trophy, "Iggy" was written into the legend of upsets.
