King’s Repeat: James’ Two-Way Rule

In 2013, LeBron James was at the perfect cross of athleticism and IQ. A two-time MVP, he ruled the Finals with true "all-around" play.

He averaged near triple-double: score, facilitate, and guard the opponent’s core. In Game 7 he posted a triple-double, the anchor of Miami’s repeat. The second straight FMVP fully shed the shadow of his 2011 Finals loss.

The title put James at the core of the GOAT debate. He proved he could not just win once, but keep winning.

A true king is not a one-time burst but year-after-year rule. LeBron’s 2013 is its footnote.
