The Honor Roll: Eight Rings, One Finals MVP, Thirteen All-Star Games

Havlicek won eight titles, one Finals MVP (1974), made thirteen All-Star teams and multiple All-NBA squads, entering the Hall of Fame in 1984.

John Havlicek's trophy room is essentially a modern Celtics history. He won eight championships, took Finals MVP in 1974, made thirteen All-Star games and several All-NBA teams (first and second). In 1984 he was enshrined in the Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Fame.

Behind the numbers is a "winner's logic" that never chased stats: thirteen All-Star nods prove his popularity and skill, eight rings prove his championship mettle, and the FMVP was a late personal reward—on a team-first Celtics squad, individual honors rarely reached the most selfless man until 1974 made it natural.

The Hall of Fame induction summarized eighteen years of devotion. Compared with those who rode one hot season in, Havlicek's selection was beyond dispute: stable, long-lived, championship-tested and clutch—he checked every box.
