In the 1970 Game 7, Reed’s hurt entrance lit the building; Frazier then dismantled the Lakers with 36 points and 19 assists to win his first ring.

The 1970 Finals Game 7 is an anchor in every Knicks fan's memory. The first half belonged to the injured Reed—his 4 early points steadied the room; the second half belonged to Walt Frazier.

That night Frazier played 43 minutes, hit 11 of 12 shots, scored 36 points and dished 19 assists, single-handedly unraveling the entire Lakers defense. His mid-range was deadly, his drive-and-dish timing was vicious, and Wilt Chamberlain was pulled wherever he went. New York routed Los Angeles 113-99 for its first title.

This Game 7 is remembered as Frazier's coronation: a second-year guard delivering one of the most underrated flawless Finals performances ever on the biggest stage. From then on, "Clyde" was synonymous with New York's championship.
