Heat Big Three: LeBron’s Title Puzzle

In summer 2010, LeBron James declared he’d "take his talents to South Beach," joining Dwyane Wade and Chris Bosh as Miami’s Big Three. The "superteam" move shook the league and carried huge expectations.

The title didn’t come instantly. The 2011 loss questioned their fit. In 2012 they found balance: Wade ceded touches, Bosh spaced the floor, James became the undisputed core.

The 4-1 win over OKC was the finished product of their chemistry. James’ FMVP rested on two All-Star teammates’ sacrifice. The title also launched the modern "star clustering" trend.

Some rosters are born expected; some need time to temper. The Heat Big Three proved the latter’s worth in 2012.
