The Youngest-Record Harvester: Dončić’s Historic Milestones
Luka Dončić’s career is a chronicle of "youngest-record harvesting." He pulled milestones normally owned by veterans forward to his early twenties.
The first earth-shaker came in Europe: in 2017, at 19, he became the youngest EuroLeague MVP and Final Four MVP — an honor long monopolized by 30-plus veterans; a teenager breaking it was unprecedented.
In the NBA the records kept coming. He is among the youngest First-Team All-NBA selections ever (2019-20, age 21). Given the team is filled with superstars, making it in year three shows his over-age readiness.
In December 2022, against the Knicks, he posted 60 points, 21 rebounds and 10 assists — the youngest 60-point triple-double in NBA history and the third player with a 60+ triple-double (after Harden and LeBron). He nearly beat New York alone; opponents applauded.
In January 2024 he scored 73, resetting Dallas’ record and becoming one of the youngest 70-point scorers. That season, at 24, he won the scoring title — among the youngest ever.
He also holds several youngest playoff records: among the youngest playoff triple-double men, youngest with multiple 30+ triple-doubles in a series. Together they show his maturity outpaces his age.
Records mean more than numbers — they confirm "peak from day one, still evolving." For a 1999 birth, the "youngest" prefixes may keep rewriting. When he lifts the title and FMVP, those marks become bright signs on his road.
